Important information is that you can go only from Rishikesh to Gaurikund city by road. Because after that you will have to go by a walk of 14 km, if you go by bus or shared taxi then you can go till Sonprayag only. The route from Sonprayag to Gaurikund is 6 km and the fare will be Rs.25. You will find many shared taxis and other trains for the route from Sonprayag to Gaurikund.

Rishikesh to Kedarnath by Bus

You cannot travel directly from Rishikesh to Kedarnath because beyond Gaurikund you will have to travel on foot. But you can travel by bus from Rishikesh to Sonprayag whose fare will cost you ₹550 to ₹800 and the time taken for this will be 7 hours to 9 hours and the distance from Rishikesh to Sonprayag is 215 kilometers.

If you go in your own car then it will cost you from ₹ 500 to ₹ 700 but if you go by any booking card then you will spend from ₹1500 to ₹3000
